riding is getting to be quite a
popular fad in Rome. Every
evening parties of young ladies
and gentlemen can be seen rid
ing out through the suburbs.
At Cave Spring.—Miss Hat
tie Montgomery of Cave Spring,
is entertaining a few friends to
a charming house party. Among
those from Rome are Misses
Grace Stroud and Allie Glover.
Prayer Circle.—The Young
Men’s Prayer Circle will hold
an interesting meeting at the
First Baptist church this after
noon at 3 o’clock. Prof. Wolf
sohn will sing a solo. All young
men are cordially invited.

C. Smith, who was a gunner on
the battleship Texos which was
in the battle which destroyed
Admiral Cervcra fleet of the
Spanish navy, went down to

engagement at the park theatre
last night. The company has

gagement here has been a most
pleasant one.
