been playing at the Park Thea

morning to fill an engagement
in that city.
Being Repaired.—The city
tower is undergoing some need
ed repairs. The old rail on the
top is being taken down and
will be replaced with a hand
some new one.

Polk County Superior court
convened at Cedartown this
morning. Among the Attorneys
from Rome who went down were
Maj. C. M. Fouche and Col. C,
Rowell.
Confined at Home.—-Dept,
Sheriff \V. P. McLeod is confin
ed 'o his home with a badly
spraued loot. The sprain is a
very painful one and it will
probably be several days before
he can get out.
First Baptist.—Meeting at
the First Baptist church contin
ues to draw large crowds. Last
night 9 were immersed in the
pool at the church on profession
of faith. Dr. Heauden is doing a
grand work for the Lord.
