Al G, Field hav announced that he will endeavor to make the vocal part of his program the coming leason a prominent featury. Judging from the ar tists engaged he will keep hie promise. Among the vocalists who have attained distinction maybe mentioned Reese Posser, the Welsh tenor, who for three sea ■oirs was the leading tenor with thej Boston Concert Company and afterward with the Boston Ideals. Harry Sheldon, who has beon with Mr. Field the past tww seasons has established himself as a descriptive tenor singer, his rendition of Paul Dresser’s song, “He Fought for the cause he Thought was Right,” being one of the hits of last season. Chas. A. Van, who is singing i« the choir of Trinity church, New V ork City, will make his initial bow on the minstrel stage with the company at their open ing. George A. Hassell, who has been oil the stage the past foui years aud is singing in Grace M. E. Church at New Haven, W Conn., will return to the stage, epeniugwith the Al G Field minstrels. Carl C. Dickens, the bantons, who has been with Klaw & Er langer and Sousa's ‘‘Bride Elect,” is a new recruit to the minstrel stage. George A. Reeves, Charles A. Skelcher, Frank Todd and Paul Lalonde are other names that will appear on the program of the Al. G. Field Minstrels, with a strong chorus to back up the soloists.
