Whites at Lumberton Tele grapihg for Winchesters. * •• Lumberton, N. C., Oct. 24. Yesterday morning a squad of the negroes who were dispensed at Ash Pole, Robeson county, crept up t. the town and shot three whites stationed ther* as guards. They were Albert Floyd, Robert Inman and Wm. Bullard. Bullard is seriously wounded, the others slightly. A hundred whites with bloodhounds are now in pursuit and it is said four of the negroes have been caught. There is great excite ment at all points in .the state in telegraphic communication with Lumberton. The whites are tele graphing the principal towns in the state for Winchester rifles to be sent there immediately.
