The Children During Their Minority.' A system of life insurance at the lowest cost consistent with perfect security, which in event of death provides absolutely and unconbitionally for the maintenance and comfort of a dependent family. It is earnestly desired by thousands of the people of moderate means 01 by those who believe that they can invest their surplus money to better advantage than by depositing it with a corporation under a con tract of forfeiture in event of death, or lapse prior to the completion of the investment p?riod. As a policy of fire-insurance ispurcnased upon the home in order that the means may be forthcoming to build another in case it is destroyed by fire, so a noiicy of lif® in surance is taken out to support the wife and educate tne children, should the death of the husbana or parent deprive them of t hese com torts and advantages. . 1 That the payment of a large sum of money to the benefici-, ary of a deceased policy-holder does not always accomplish this | object is a source of deep regret, but nevertheless true. Thou-] sands of instances are recorded where a b< d in - estmenf, the fail ure of a bank or trust company, or the bad advice of some trusted friend, has forever swept away the insurance money or the prop erty, and left both widow and children to stiuggle with poverty] and destitution. To prevent los- and to provide a certainty of | comfort and independence for a long term of years, The State Mutual Life and Annuity Association was devised The system provides an annuity to be paid quarterly if to widow luring her wridoyvnood ; if she dies, to the children, severally, until they reach the age of 21; to the member at old age, or in case of disa bilifry. This system alse provides that annuities are paid in fur on completion of 14 to 20 annual payments. Annuities are issued for $200.00 and up to $600.00. (See rate table.) The advantage of an annuity policy is that it will support your family for a long term of yeers, will educate your children and' cannot be borrowed oi stolen. It is the safest known system of life insurance, as an excessive death rate does not call for ini mediate payment of large sums of money, and the death rate of every company adjusts itself to mortality tables in a term of -■ - • years. It costs less than any other reliable system of life insur ance; the same amount of premium will secure for your benefi ciary more money than could be obtained under any other form of’policy. In the old world this annuity system has oeen in vogue since tha year 116 S and no failures, viz: Ihe Count of Winton So ciety ; organized 1168, Lord Evans, 1358, Society of Linton, 1708, and many others. All of the foregoing are now operating in Great Britain. The Member In oid age Th® Widow , . . . Dining Her Wjdowhood The Children .... Durirg their -Minority The Father or Mother . . This will bring ah income of SIOO.OO per; year in the first case, $l5O 00 in the second, and in the third, if invested at 5 per cent. Can your family live on any of i these amounts? If not, a rapid decrease of insurance will follow-.! 1-or what it is costing you to provid for your family after death, an annual income oi SIOO.OO under your pi esent plan, you cam se cure $400.00 under the annuity fund system, as operated by the State Mutual Life and Annuity Association. (See Table of Rates. ) Ihe State Mutual Annuity Association is issued upon the premium plan, its object being to furnish protection pure and simple, di»t sted of all artificial investment features which unnecessarily burden the policy-holder without increasing iis security or profit ; and yet it has. all the safeguards surround ing the insured known to science, capital and honest purpose, b What We Propose.
