LIEUT. HARRIS 111 "■ ■ - ■ Who Abandoned Ihe Paria Teresa Io Her Fate I TO BE COURTrtiAR" iALED. The Teresa to be Floated and Towed to United Stat«?s. Washington, Nov. 15. —Lieu- tenant Commander N. Watris, who was in command of the Spanish cruiser Maria Teresa at the time of abandonment, has been ordered to proceed from Charleston with Hie enlisted men formerly attached to the Teresa, to the navy yard at Nor folk. No additional details were re ceived at the department today concerning the condition of the Spanish warship, but it is as sumed that the ships Potomac and Vulcan, which were sent to her relief, are using their ut most endeavors to draw her off the beach at Cat island into deeper water, v. ith a view to lowing her to a place of safety in the United States. The report that the tide lose and fell in the wreck would seem to indicate that she is in need of | extensive repairs before she can be made to float. Whether the leakage can be stopped while she lies in her present position, in two fathoms of water, rerhains to be seen. The Vulcan is equipped with all the tools and machinery for the ordinary repair of ships of war, and unless the Teresa is damaged to a greater extent than is believed to be the case, the facilities at hand are believed to be sufficient to put her in condition.to tow her to a f ’nited States port when the wind and tide are favorable. When the expedition returns to the United States, with or without the Teresa, an investi gation will be instituded to de termine the necessity and re sponsibility for the abandon ment of the Teresa off San Sal vador. Rheumatism • 8' 1* a blood disease and only a blood reme dy can cure it. So many people make the mistake of taking remedies which at best are only tonics and cannot possi bly reach their trouble. Mr. Asa Smith, Greencastle, Indiana, says: “For years I have suffered with Sciatic Rheuma tism, which the best physicians were un able to relieve. I took many patent medicines but they did not seem to reach my trouble. I gradually grew v werse until I was un- aV.e to take my food (y- or handle myself in any way; I was abso- ' * lutely helpless. Threa < bottles of S.S.S. re- lieved me so that I 1 - s< > 01 al I.'to t’v sv e my right arin;*bcfore 4 l cn g I could walk across the room, and when I had finished one dozen bottles was cured completely and am as well as ever. I now weigh 170.” A Real Blood Remedy* S.S.S. cures Scrofula, Cancer, Eczema, and any form of blooci troubles. If you have a blood disease, take a blood medi cine—S.S.S.
