Constitution’. Newnan, Ga , Janaary 31. (Spe dal.) The Constitution's editorial of yesterday, advising Hon. W. Y. Atkinson to withdraw from the gubernatorial race was read with a good deal es amusement by hie friends here. The general imprest sion among Mr. Atkinson's friends is that The Constitution is trying to make a brave show of strength far its candidates in order to con ceal his real weakness, and that its anxiety ta get Mr. Atkinson out of the way is not assumed. Your correspondent called on Mr. Atkiason this morning to know if he desired to make any comment upon The Const!'ution’o edtiorial. He was busy with his campaign correspond ence and had not sees the article.
