J—. ...... _ > . C SMITH G Pa & Ta. Aimstrong House,' “THE UNION DEPOT QUES TION." Editor Hustler '?f Rome: —I see in the papers that the" Union passenger Depot question,'’ is be ing discussed by some of our citi zens. This is a question in which every Roman should be interested is a union depot would be a grea' benefit !o the city, and that which benefits Rome, bent-fits her citi zens. Several suggestions have been made as to where the depot should be located. This is an important question, it is also one however over which Rome should not fall >ut and divide, but every citizen should lay aside all perdjudice unite on this question, pull togeth er and build the depot. Ab to the places suggested and offered, all should jeceive a fair and unbiased consideration the merits and demerits of each should ba fully discussed and the best place for the benefit of Rome and not for a few individuals, should be selec'ed. Rome is a growing town she is speadingout in every direction, and if her citizens will act in uni ty she will still grow for there is no town in Gecrg a that p; see ses more natural advantages. The secret (if it be a secret) of Atlanta’s success, lies in the fact that when an enterprise is suggest ed her citizens come together bar out every mans iudiviual interast and locate said enterprise to the best advantage of Atlanta. The old proverb “United we stand di vided we fall" is true for to ore will deny that “In union there is strength.“ Let Rome come together on this question and with “a long pull a Strong pull and an all pull t >geth er land this needed enterpri e to the be t interest of Rome.
