Clod fearing woman. Her lot it in deed a hard one. Her hutband is in the penitentiary for life, leav ing her in destitute circumstances with four little ones to care for and feed and raise . * • • The funeral will occar tomorrow One of the most pathetic incidents that ever came under my observa tion was her request to have the photo of the dead innocent mad“ that she might tend it to ’be ooal mines to its convict father. Os course big hearted J. W. Lancas ter could not refuse her, and the picture will be sent . ♦ ♦ * Mrs. Scott is peculis ly Lwlpiaas and yet she is without doubt a most deserving mother and wo man. She lives over Roberson's bar on upper Broad St. Don't wait but go see and sympathise with her. In writing up a ‘‘Moore’s meet ing’’ held in Hallsville a few night ago, the Tribune said this morning that Mr. John Vandiver made a speech. Now from what I learn, the reporter must have had his head full of “Tanglefoot”—What it should have said was that can didate Henry Hoskinson, the poli tician made the speeah and it not only covered much territory, but an hour and fifteen minutes. Mr. Vandiver was not present at that meeting. * * « Now as to the “complection of the meeting’’—with the exception of six men.—and two of them not register ed. the complection was for John Moore and no “perhaps” abeut it— and they will be that way on the •ixth of March too “mark that pre diction Many Pernonic are brokno -jwh fron? overwork or bc>ueiM>id cares.
