twined into a new day, Mr. Isaac
Ivans, surround' d by those wh®
were dearest to him, quietly and
peacefully closed his eyes to the
things of this life and his spirit
r U'ned to its God. He was born
inNewlsrryS. C .Feb. 20th 1822,
aid moved to Floyd County in
1869.
He was a most gallant Confed
erate soldier and for four years,
stood iu the front bravely facing
he foe.
He was one of I o d •ountie's
oldest Mid best farmers and citi
zens, a loving husband, a kind
father, a good neighbor, a true
friend and an honest man.
He lived out his three score aud
ten years honored, esteemed and
oved most by tho?e who knew him
heat.

mouths to his bed and while he
had never made any public profes

church he was always a regular at
