They are called “The People's Will 14 and‘‘The People's Choice, 44 and are readily recognized by all democrats as “The Atlanta People’s Will, 44 and "The Atlanta People ‘a Choice. 44 They would do for Atlanta but the masses of Georgia dont need them Extensive arrangements are be ing made in Griffin for the joint Evans-Atkinson debate on the 21st inst. Large crowds will go to hear these two aspirants for the govern orship. While the fun is going on Americus should have a share of it, and is entitled to a joint debate The supporters of both these gen tlemen are anxious to hear from them in person.—Americus Pen ny Press. The Evans organs are frantic in their efforts to find the cause for opposition to their candidate, and have gone so far as to conjecture that the Atkinson people oppose Gen. Evans because he was a sol dier and is a minister. This is highly amusing. In Walton coun ty a majority of the voters are for William Y. Atkinson because of his superior fitness for the efflee of Governor ; and the rest of Geer gia seems to be going the same way. The Atlanta Jeurnal refers to the Constitution as “the morning Sore-head mouth-piece,” and “the Georgia Sore head ©rgan,” and be s ows upon it other such endear ing epithets, Among the Journal a editorial parapraphs, yesterday, nas the follow mg : “The spokes-, man of the Georgia Soreheads is not of the genti hrt if it were Miss Represent;: would b, i„ name,” Might we enquire the na ture es the “representation” the the Constitution make? when it urges Gen Evans for Governor, and how it is, that the Journal jjlays a “me too” part, with the Uoi sti ution im this matter?—Co lumbus Ledger Gen.
