THE HUSTLER OF ROME, WEDNESDAY JUNE 20. 1894.
ill® ’9lll.
The day set for the Congres
sional Con volition.
AN DD A LTON IS TH E PL ACE.
TEN OUT OF THE THIRTEEN COUNTIES
WERE REPRESENTED AT THE EXEC
UTIVE committee meeting at
THE CENTRAL HOTEL.
This afternoon at l;30 o'clock, in
the parlors of the Central Hotel, the
executive committee of the Seventh
Congressional District held a most
harmonious meeting.
The counties represented were
Whitfield; by Trammell Starr of Dal
ton, Chairman of the committee.
Catoosa: byW. Trox Bankston of
Kingold, Secretary o, f the comm t’ee.
Polk; E. B. Russell, of Cedartown.
Haralson ;ES. Griflin of Buchanan.
Dade; M. A. Tatum, of Trenton.
Panldin: C, D. McGregor of
Dallas.
Chattooga: J, Wesley Shrop
shire, of Summerville.
Walker: J. B. Hill, of La Fay
ette.,
Murray: J. A. McKamey, of
Spring Place.
Floyd: R. T. Fouche as proxey
for J. C. Garliugton.
Gordon, Cobb and Bartow coun
ties were not represented in the
committee.
The meeting was presided over
by Coi, Trammell Starr, the dis
tinguished Daltonian, while Edi
or irox Bankston, of Riugold, did
the Secretary’s place to perfec
tion .
Tne only business before the
committee, was the naming of
time and place of the next Con
gressional convention.
This was easily attended to and
resulted in the naming of Dalton
a the place and August 29th, at 1
o’clock p. m. as the time.
After these questions were set
tled the meeting adjourned subject
to the call of the chairman.
Everything was perfectly har
monious with now and then a
word battlebetweenMrox Banks on
and Russell of the Standard but
as they were newspaper men, and
only enjoying the “privileges of
the press” their gyrations were
not viewed seriously,
The Hustler reporter talked to
a number of the committeemen
both before and after the meeting
of the committee and found them
of the opinion that, Johu W. Mad
dox the tried, able and true will
be the next nominee and they be
lieve that, no matter who opposes
him, his majority would bi greater
:haa two years ago.

I have two little grand children
who are teething all this hot sum
mer weather and are troubled with
bowel complaint? I give them Cl'am
berlain’s Colic, Cholera and Diar
rhoea Remedy and it acts like a
charm. I earnestly recomend it for
clnldi’i-n with bowel troubles. I was
mveelf taken with a severe attack of
bloo ly flux, with cramp and pains in
my stomach, one-third of a bottle of
this remedy cured me. Within twen
t’-tour hours I was cut of bed and
doing my house work.—Mrs. W. L.
