One comes every five years, and timesup, Mr- and Mrs. Hopper, with all 'heir family, are due this September, but many of their re lations arrive in advance to tickle up phlegmatic Bostonians.— Boston Herald. Mr. and Mrs. Hopper with their family and a number of relatives, have been summering with us, and we are glad to know that they will soon leave for Boston, where they will create a stir by introduc ing phlebotomy to the curriculum of that city of culture and learn ing.—Augusta News. The little plutocrats seem to be much worried because Hen. ’ J W McGarity did rot accept the nomi nation for Congress by the Populists in this district.—Dallas Heiald. Will our populistic frienu please cite us to the eventful occasion, when the pops tendered the nomination to McGarity. Was it done in the dark hours of the .uidnight caucus? #lf it was then, and MeG irity refused the nomination, then we can see how the 11 omened bird came to settle on the king of political Hoppers. Dr. Felton let the Herald publish the facts. Our Democratic friends, the open and avowed enenues of all honest methods in politics, are terribly si ;■ ken up over the nomination of Dr. 1 elton for Congress by Populists of this district. They realize, that the Doetor knows how to get there and they feel to a’ dead certainty that he is going to Washington, vice Judge Maddox.—Dallas Herald, If Editor Botjenhamer is a truth ful man and wants to serve his read ers with reliable information he will iculcate a little among the pops and go back to his and write a later report. Election day will prove that populists will not take I elton in theirs and that Felton won -18 last victory years and years ago. IJf SELF-DEFENCE |R& you ought to keep v® your fl«ih up.
