Over Seven Hundred Cars of Cash Sold in Minneapolis Chamber Minneapolis Minn., Sept. 15. Over 700 cars of cash wheat were sold on the floor of the chamber of commence today, making one of the heaviest day’s transactions in the history of the chamber. These sales were reported, but there is reason to believe that at least 100, 000 bushels more sold were not reported, Os *the above amount 425 cars were bought to arrivi . About 150 cars of No. 1 hard are included in the total number. The activity in cash wheat in Minneapolis is due to the buying by elevators to fill storage space, and the competition of the eleva tors compels the millers to be ac tive to get their share. The result is cash wheat is at a premium over December, with 57 cents the price for No. 1 northern today. An active cash wheat market is predicted for several weeks, as there is a large elevator space to fill, ihe owners of which are anx. ious to receive a carrying charge, and they can get it only as they buy wheat direct and sell futures against it. TRULY WONDERFUL. Many Objects which Defying De scription Msut be seen. Delightful and fascinating are but mild terms to apply to the great circus this year, for the dou ble menageries are au education iu natural history, the performances dazz'iug aud thrilling io their va riety and froshuess, the Ethologi cal Congress of strange aud savage tribes a iue study, the trained ani mals exhibition a wonder,'nd the whole eh win its entirety out of sight and far and beyond all nth ers. That is what a prominent paper said of Barnum & Bailey s Great est Show this season, and which will be here on October 16'h. Two animals, which the show has this season, if exhibited by themselves, would amply repay anyone for the small price asked to see all the wonderful circus, aerial, hippodrome and menagerie attrac tions. These two creatures are Chi ko and his bride Johanna—gorillas, but of such a huge size, and so human-like as to startle every one, and are really of such positiv merit that every parent should take his family to see them. Books on natural history con tain but little information on the subject of gorillas, because so lit tle is known concerning these ani mals, but now we have the living creautures themselyes to see and study, and the chance to do so should not be lost. Then the Ethnological Congress of strange and savage races are equally as great an attraction to those of a contemplative mind, as so many different religions and types of people are represented that all must become interested, while for children it will prove a lasting and pleasant benefit. The performance will be given in three rings, on two stages, on a race track, and in a steel-barred arena, the lai ter restricted entirely to the exhibition of the wonderful troupe of trained animals, of which the New York Sun remarked it was “the sublime culmination of har mony.” It will be here on sixty cars on October 16th and the new street parade will be made in the morning. In this latter free pa geant are representations of all the crowned heads of the world the rulers, together with the mil itary uniforms of all nations.
