Knocked out in the First Round on Sunday. Natonitoc lies, La., Sept., 24. George Pierce of New Orleans, in a fight to a finish for S4OO, knock ed out T. E. Tanzin in the arena at Cypress yesterday, in the pres ence of a large crowd of spectators. When the fight first commenced both men sparred for an opening. In a few seconds Pierce led and landed an upper cut on the cheek bone of Tanzin with his left hand, which he quickly followed ny a vi cious blow in the same place with his right. Tinzin staggered and fell. When ■ time was called he was unable to stand up, and the referees declared Pierce the winner. The fight last ed forty seconds, Giving Secrets Away.
