The dead bodies of the s >ldier fe were exhumed at the Home ceme tery, and the body of Ado'phus Burgeu was identified by two wit nesses as that of the soldier who was knocked down near the south gate of the Home about 7 o'clock Saturd >y evening by Fisher. The two witnesses were driving by in a buggy, but were afraid to molest Fisher, who threatened t 0 kill them if they interfered. Fish er’s two sisters, prostitutes were with him at the time. Tne trio are in jail on the charge of murder. Three other negro suspects are also under anest. With this devel opment as a starting point, the Chief expects to unravel the critue and get all the persons implicated. The Fisher .family keep a dive on the West Side, where it is esti mated as many as 25 soldiers have lost their lives R>bert Fisher, 16 vears old and the youngest mem ber of the family, is in jail charg ed with murder in the first degree in the killing of his brother Wai ter at the family dive in July last. Family Blown Away. Pawnee, Neb., October 3.—A cy clone struck the home of John Nel son, seven miles south of here, last night. The family, of seven persons, were ,blown into an ad joining field, and a little girl 9 years old had a stick driven through her skull and cannot live. Five others of the family are severely injured. Petersburg,-111., October 3.—The monument erected to the memory of Major Stephenson, founder of the Grand Army of the Republic, was dedicated with appropriate ceremon’es, in the presence of fully S,(XX) veterans and civilians.
