Floyd, formerly of this county, but now living near Ors rran, in Floyd county, had the misfortune to loose his barn, in cluding two horses, fodder, oats, ray and etc, by fire a few nights ago, The fire is supposed to have been of incindiary origin. No prettier wedding has ever occurred in Cartersville than that which occurred at the Presbyte rian church on thursday evening last, when two favorite young peo ple, Mr. William W. Young and Miss Jessie Smith, were united in the holy bonds of mat rimony. The church was without decora tions, which made the scene wheie the ceremonyas being perform ed all the more lovely. A large gathering bad assembled, when at 8:30 o’clock the voca ion under the skillful manipulation of Signor Randegur, struck up the wedding march and the attendants began to file slowly down the aisles. The attendants were fol lowed by the bride on her father’s arm, and groom, with his brother, Mr. G. W. Young, his best man, and all took their places about the altar. A pretty scene it was as all in silence stood and awaited the words of the minister that should make two hearts one. Rev. E. D. McDougall perform ed the ceremony in a beautiful and impressive manner.
