CLOWNS TALK AND SING.
One of The Changes in The Bar
num & Bailey Circus Programme.
Pete Conklin and Billy Burke,
two of the best known clowns in
the country, are this season with
the Barnum A Bailey shows, and
are doing the talking acts and
singing the songs which were for
merly considered a necessary part
of the clown’s duties, it has been
several years since there has
been any singing and talking acts
with one of the big shows. The
Barnum & Bailey shows have 15
other clowns in funny acrobatic
and pantomine acts. The big free
parade is one of the finest ever
seen upon the streets of an Ameri
can city, and is quite novel in its!
make-up, containing one feature
in the civic and military parade of
the rulurs of the earth, that in it
self is a great show, better than
many another circus charges to
witness. The parade will move
through the principal streets of
Rome, tomorrow, and the show
will give two performances on
that day, one in the afternoon,
and one in the evening.

our country is so justly proud. No other

such men make the most of their

Ex-Secretary Rusk did not inherit his wide
knowledge of agriculture and practical

and reading the proper books.
There is not a boy in Georgia today, having
the ordinary allowance of intellect, who may
not make himself felt as much In the world as
did Mr. Rusk.
