W. and Hurly Ballew. The cases of A. W. and Hurley Ballew, charged with violation of the pension laws, has been set for a final hearing before Judge Nei man on next Monday morning. This ease was to have been tried on the first of October, and was placed on the docket as the open ing trial of the fall session. The attorneys f< r the defense, however, asked for a postponement on legal grounds, and the case was accord ingly reassigned. It will be taken up again with out fail on Monday. The bill charges that the two Ballews collected a large sum cf pension money and retained all of it except a sma 1 portion. They are further charged with interfer ing with the United States mail. —Constitution. ANOTHER MARRIAGE A Popular Fx-Roman Soon to wed in Fort Worth. THE MASONS A large Party Leaves This After noon for Rockmart. A party of about sixty-five or seventy masons will leave this afternoon by a special train at 6 o’clock over the Southern for Rock mart They go down to unite with the masons of Rockmart in having a good time.
