The weather was exceedingly raw last night, and that is nodoul t the reason that not over 200 peo pie went to see Prof. Gentry’s horse and dog show under the tent on Second avenue. But those who braved the weath er, were well repaid the little in convenience they suffered from cold feet. Prof. Gentry has unques tionably the best show of its class that ever visited Rome. It is remarkable how he has trained his ponies and dogs to d j such remarkable feats, and do it at the word of command. The drilling by the ponies was loudly applauded. Each animal knew its name and answered every command promptly. The dog that turned back somer sault, and the one that walked the tight rope were splendid. The show will be here three days. Wednesday evening at 8 o’clock they will give a matinee. The price of admission is in the reach of all, 10 and 20 cents. Take your little folks out and let them spend a delightful eve ning.
