Connor, of Cave Springs is in the city to-day, Mr. and Mrs. Lessing, of Potts town, Pa., are at th* Armotroue, Mr. and Mrs. S. G. Wickell, of New Jersey, are stopping at the Armstrong. Messrs Chas. Parker and Wm, Siglin, of Bluffton, are in the city today. Mr. E. T. Camp, of Gadsden, is at the Armstrong. Gilbert will preach his farewell sermon next Sunday at the Second Baptist Church in the Fourth ward. He will leave with his family next week for his new home in Texas. His Trained Dogs and Ponies Please the large Audience. Prof. Gentry’s Dog and Pony Snow delighted two large audiences yesterday. At the matinee in the afternoon many ladies and chil dren were present. Last night they closed their en gagement in Rome to about 300 people.
