Witch the Hustler of Rome Sun day morning. Among the it terested spectators tin other night to see the gr»; t miud reader, was Mr. Yancey Hai ns. After the performance was over a party were discussing the matter, when Y*ncey said: ‘ Well, he is a wonder. Now if I had his power I would be right iu the swim. Sunday night when I went to church with my girl I would hold her hand and see if she was thinking about some other fellow. Just think what an advantage it would give you toward finding ou whether a girl really loved you or LOt.’’ Said a traveling man at the Armstrong yesterday : “Yes it was certainly a Waterloo for the demo cratic party. Every body has got a reason for it, but I think the whole truth is just simply an ex pression of contempt and disgu t by the people at the dilly-dallying of the last congress on important measures.” “I have an idea about this tramp element, and the unemployed la borers that I have never heard any one else express a similar opinion upon. Os course what I say don’t' cut any figure in national politics! or anything else, but nevertheless, I han; to my idea. It is just this. Let the government establish large farmsand industrial plants of va rious kinds in some of the vast un occupied lerritory of the Lone Star State. Then take this constant menace to the government—tramps and that class of labor that is al ways howling about the lack of em ployment—and put them to work on this government plant. The different depatments would give employment to the men-of differ ent professions. Don’t you see that such an institution would be self-sustaining from the first year?” ‘■And’’ Continued the speaker, “for heaven’s sake lets stop this eternal stream of low criminals that Europe i 3 constantly belching I on our shores. It is only the lowest and most depraved class that come here now, and as long as we have no law against it, they will continue to come. They are the cause of bo much dissatisfaction in labor cir cles, and are re»ponnble for the fearful incie vse iu enmeou Ameri can soil. In the name of our g eat country’s fair honor, stop this class of eiuigraLts from coming here. Tne more that the tables are re vised showing the standing of the next congress, the more are added to the repubLcan column. We ar watching now with dull wonder, for the complete official relume from all the States, to see how few democrats there win. be Czar Reed, the fat. will domineer the next con gress. But iu the broad aud deso late wast of ruins, one great con bo iation threba in the South's heart Th're will be a Statesman returned frotr. the South who cannot and will not be ruled by the Czar —CharlesCrisp, of Georgia! In the wide discontent that has brought temporary oblivion to many lea er of national importance, Georgia still has unfaltering faith in her noble son. The first day of Nov LM93, Mr. Hartman gave bis couseuL to take charge of the treatment of 10.000 cases of chronic catarrh free of charge. The announcement was at oik! 0 published in all the leading pa pers, when the applications came pouring in from every State in the Union. With a large number of clerks and stenographers to assist him, the doctor actually directed the treatment of thousands of caee« by correspondence, which costs the patients nothing, except the nec essary medicines, which are obtain ed at the nearest drug store. To become a patient it is only neces eary to send name and address, describe symptoms, ana minute direc ions as to diet, ’sanitary reg ulations, ami other advice will be sent promptly. Wherever Dr. Hartman is know:' the name of Pe-ru-na has become a household word. It is safe to say that no medicine in existence is used by so many families as Pe ru na This is especially true or this time of the year, when peo ple are liable to catarrhal affec tion 3 , coughs, colds, la grippe etc. Pe-ru na has cured more cases of chronic catarrh than all other medicines combined. The great majority of those who use it buy ibe remedy the ms-lives, uce it ac cording t<> directions, not even reporting their case to Dr. Hart man until after they are entirely cured. But uow that a limited number of cases can secure the personal attention of Dr. Hartmam of charge, ia it to b< wondered at that many prefer to do so. Pe-ru-na ■ i.ever fails to cure catarrh when pronerly used.
