TERRIBLE EXPLOSION,
Three Killed and Five Injured at
Cale I. T.
Denison, Tex., Nov. 20.—A ter
rible boiler explosion occurred this
forenoon at Cale, I. T., resulting
in the death o f three persons.
The killed are:
Charley Malone, pressman,
whose home is in Atlanta, Ga.
Will Robins, the engineer.
Mrs. John Malcomb, the wife of
the proprietor of the gin .
These seriously if not fatally in
jured are:
HaU Morris of K insas City.
George Townser and Alex. Jer
kins, both of this city.
Will Creed (colored) had his
fa'.e badly scalded.
The head miller, algo colored,
was badly bruised by being knock
•d down.
The accident was the result of
carelessness on the part us the en
gineer, who let the water in the
boiler get too low. The cotton gin
was one of the largest in the Indi

PROSPECTIVE LYNCHING.
Bristol. Tenn., Nov. 20—Walter
Coleman, colored, to-day shot and
fatally wounded Ben Wyatt while
in South Bristol. They became
involv'd in a quarrel about noon,
and Wyatt threw n rock at Cole
man , w hen the latter drew a pistol
and fired three shots at Wyatt.Two
of the balls penetrated Wyatt’s
right aye and the other right hip.

of lynching by Wyatt’s friend#,
