for Customs Duties.
Washington, Nov. 22.—As far
as the treasury department is in
formed no gold was withdrawn
from the New York tub treasury
tod.y.
The gold reserve stands at $57,-

has so tar been paid this month at
New York for custom unties, wh’ch
duties for twenty days have
amounted to $4,701,000, SSOO n ex
cess of the corresponding period
last year.
A mistake was made by Treasur
er Jordan yesterday in transmitt
ing by telegraph lhe gold with
draw from the New York subtrees
ury. An item of $460,000 was re
peated. The gold withdrawn yes
terday was $1,200,000. not $1,600,
000 as stated.
