It also needs tight ening up. Badly as we want the Etowah dammed, we would not like to see one of the county’s iron bridges used as the obstruc tion. It took two weeks to bury the 4 *ad Czar and only two hours to marry the living one —but then Alix is not from Philadelphia and when she undertakes to leap with "fid Nick, they naturally make a ■fast team. ■Chhieiv deceased ancestors are "worshipped” about thirteen times -a. year by offerings of fish, fowl, ‘ pork, cukes, wine, rice, spirits, naoney and incense.—This kustom is net the one, however, which in c .'.eased the Japs. 1 t Korn and Confidence has gos 1 “Hand times” by th; nape of the f. ««eok and the I osom of the pants n a»d ;s throwing him through the , wuwiotx of North Georgia. Lord save the mark. Governor Atkinson’s first mes sage i“ meeting with a heart} amen, even from the rear pews in •he tempi* of Georgia Democracy. No Governor of the slate has evei submitted in times of peace a mor' able paper to the General Assemb ly, but then Governor Atkinson cau’t he'n if he is built that way. In Floyd, there were more than four thousand registered votes, and yet, though less than twenty five hundred of them voted, the Feltons would compare Floyd to Richmond. But then Tom Wat son is booked for a contest, and the Feltons are imitating Tom and trying to counterfeit Tom toms politics. The intensity of confined sound is illustrated atCnrlskrook Castle, Isle of Wight, where there is a well 2(0 feet deep and twelve feet in diameter. When a pin is dropped into it, the sound of it striking the surface of the water 182 feet below, can be distinctly heard Pins, of course, are dropped in the well so that naked truth may pin the sheet of water around her be fore she climbs to earth to per form the ghost dance among the sons of men. Mr. Rankin seems to have “Reckoned without his host,” when he flopped over for Hopper Felton. It is quite suspicious that he thought populism would win in the 7th, and that Felton would be called to cash his checks ere anoth er two years passed by, and he would be selected to take the Dr.’s place. But, alas, the Dr. was over come and flopped over dead, and were he now living to testify, he could say of a truth : it D not best for thee to flop.—Paulding New Era. AMONG THE PRINCESS.
