He a’so rec lived some of the shot in lus arms and chest. He had taken three o| is children with him, and they ail sat in a group on the lower deck. Ou the upper deck were B. P. PhillipT, a yog employe of a local gun store, and several < om| anions who were on their way for a day’s hunt in the Arkansas *orests. Young Phillipdi was expafiatit g upon the merits of a faiigled gun he wks carrying. Ha placed n charge in the breech and was in ’he act of swinging the gun to his shoulder, whAn it was discharged. The party surrounding Pbillippi did not know that sin thing serintip hsd happened till one of them look ed through the hole made in the fi iof, and down b ilow saw the father and child bathed in blood. The steamer was turned back to the city and the child was taken to an infirmary where 30 shot were removed from h-r face, the physi cians pronounced recovery hooe less. Phillippi was frantic with grief and tried to throw himself overboard. THE GREAT JANE. Tomorrow Night will be the Great Comedy Eventlof the Session. Comedy Si Perkins A large audiAnce went to Nevin’s Opera House last night to see the comedy drama Si Perkins In fact the gallery became so crowded that many of the whites were allowed to go down stairs. Si Perkins hasn't much plot just enough to place around it plenty >f fun and specialties. About the best features of the show was the orchestra, which they carried with them. Si, as the agent for the “Agita tor” was good as was the Irish character. Took to the Platform. Loveland, Ohio, Nov. 27-—Ns» SO East bound stock train had a -vreck in Loveland just opposite the B. and O. Depot, this after noon . A coal car with a fiat wheel climbed the rail and dragged about 50 yards, sp 1 ing coal all over the depot platform. Trains were delay il for about two hours and the road crossings blocked.
