This morning about 11 o'clock nshoot ■ng serai h took pi ace in E-.st Al bauy, a suburb of this city, which may result iu ’he death of Tom Bradlwv, a negro, who was shot one time in the left side by C. W. Fhf. rell, and a man named Hardin, both white. They were influenced to the shooting by’ the statement that Bradley had made about them to the effect that Bradley’s mother and the mothers of both Farrell and Hardin were all raised up on the same plantatic n in Florida and that they were all negroes. The negro made these statements boldly,and when subsequently au costed by Ferrell and Hardin made an effort to shoot Ferrell,but chat g ed his mind and started to run away. There is no foundation for the negro’s stattmint. A fifteen-year-o’d neg r o buy wa j shot and instantly killed by a ne gro man named John Palmer, near Leesburg,Saturday night. The mo tiVe was robbery. FLEET AGAINST BRAZIL. Italy to Act Upon The Republic's Refusal to Arbitrate New York, Nov. 28 —A special dispatch to the World from Rio ! Janeiro says: “Italy has decided, to send a fleet against this country. I it is learned, owing to Brazil’s re fusal to arbitrate a pending ques- j teon. ‘ Though tbe action of the Gov ernment m the case is universally approved here, Prsident Moraes will prepare new propositions and forward them to the Italian Gov ernment. Tbe United Sta’es may be asked to arbitrate . “Part of tbe fleet has left with sealed orders. It is rumored that a warship hrs been sent after Da Gama, who commands 8 000 men. - ’ The disaa‘ch rays that men are rising up all over the country.
