A Young man Near Cave Spring had a leg Broken. Cave Spring, Ga., November 80, 1894. —Mr. Brock, a young man living near here, had the misfor tune to have his leg broken early this morning. He was on his way to Rome with a load of cotton. Going down Glenn Hill, about four miles out,the team ran away, broke the tongue from the wagon, threw off some of the cotton iund threw out and in some way broike the leg of the young man. He was brought to Cave Spring and was attended t» by Drs. Culbertson and Gray. The entertainments Thunaday and Friday nights, given by Miss Butler’s elocution class, promises to be very interesting. Thanksgiving was generally ol - served in Rome yesterday. The Banks, Schools and all public in stitutions gave a holliday. Many of the Merchants closed up for a few hours during the dinner hour. The Episcopal Church was the only one in the city to hold a Spe cial service. Many attended and a considerable sum was offered for the poor. Last uight there was a Special thanksgiving service at Shorter College. Many interesting recita tions, songs etc, were offered by the pupils and the evening was a most pleasant one. M. M.
