A big deal in Rome and Floyd
county real-estate has been con
bu mated and by it my friend Billy
Wright, becomes lord an 1 master
of Glenwood, the English manor
and country seat of his brother,
Earl Seaborn of Glenwood.
* *
«
It was on Saturday, I believe,
that Mr. Billy Wright and his
brother,Hon. Seaborn Wright,
censumated the trade in which
Mr Billy Wright exchanged a
half interest in the brick buildings,
k .own as Lowry’a Corn r, and n w
occupied by Lowiy Brothers, Drug
gists; Morris Brothers, Grocers;
The Hustler of Rim*, and th,
Hill City Cadets Armory, all ou

Glenwood is the old home of
the lamented Augustus, R. Wright
and is one of the best known spot
in Floyd county. Besides the old
family mansion, with all its mod
ern improvements, there is a At j
of out houses and a domain ot
360 acres of land all within three
miles of the city.
*

I understand that Me. Billy
Wright will remove from his pret
ty home in the Fourth Ward,
about the middle of January and
will reside in thw future in the
magnificent old country seat.
Hon. Seaborn Wright, who has
formed a law partnership with W.
M. Henry, will move back to his
pretty suburban home on the Sum
merville H-ights, between Col. L.
A. Dean’s and Mrs. Tom Berry’s
residences.

Tomorrow —being Cnristm x
day, the Hustler of Rome propo
ses to issue only an advertising
sheet. This will enable us to give
the dozen young lady compositors
and the young lady forelady a
holiday. These bright and indus
trious girls do not ask the holiday
but signify a willingness to stay at
their post of duty—Of course this
disposition on the part of the inde
pendent compositors makes it a
greater pleasure for the Hustler
of Rome to give them the holiday,
a- d wish them the merry Christ
mas they deserve.

The streets of the city have been
thronged to day with a crowd of
eagar hustling humanity, every

was buying to give. How trtu the

some fun in the receiving business

Tie Politicions are in town today
butt he pe< pie ware’ too eagar to
stop and|talk politics-Then too the
races are all so onesided that the
average voter finds but slight in
terest in the contest —at least just
before Christmas. I am still of the
same opinion still, which is that
the mass of voters have determin
ed to promote Deputy McConnell
to the Sheriff’s office, to succeed
Jake Moore, the beA sheriff in-
Georgia. Mack is a sure winner.
