ONE WAN KILLED
And Three Others Fatally InjureJ
in a Wreck
Spokane, Wash.. Dec. 24.—A
bad wreck occured on the O retail
Railway’ and Navigation line near
Rolle’s jun -tion yesterday in which
one man is dead and three others
probably’ fatally’ injured. The North
bound passenger train, a double
header from Portland struck a soft
place in the true causing the rails
to spread,whic i re.v both engine
baggage and iu.... cars into the
ditch.
Fortunately, the train parted in
the middle, leaving the passenger
coaches on the track, or the loss
of life would liuve been gr at. En
gineer VVilkor was pin ed under
his engine and the scalding stei m
boiled him terribly, they survived
him but a short time after being
taken out. The other engineer and
one fireman eac:i had a leg broken
and received internal injuivs.
