BARTOW-WHITMIRE. I Everett Springs Ga. D»c .25. yesterday afternoon at 3 o’clock in the Methodist Cburbh at Ersrett Spring*, sighteen miles north of Rom* Prof. Robert Bartow was married to Miss Fannie E. Whit mire Rev. Mr. Bugg officiating. The church was crowded with friends of the couple. JTbe attendants -were Mr. Henry Bartow and Mias Ollie Phelps, and Mr. John Gr ffiu and Miss Lizzie Frank*. After the wedding a 6 o’clock dinner was served at tho home of Mrs. Wm C. Witmire, mother of the bride. Mrs Barton is the oldest single daughter of tne late W. C. Whitmire, and a sister to S.E. Whitmire. The groom has had charge of the Academy at Floyd Springs severl years, and is one of Eloyd’s sub stantial young men. The couple will reside at Floyd Springs. Today at the Barton home in the Everett Springs district, the wed dsngparty is being entertained. PREACHERS CLENCHED Valparaiso, In* 3 ., Dec 26.—Christ m«s services were being held in the Congregetional Church at Bre men, Marshsll County, last even ing, when ihe Rev. Mr. Keen, who is in disfavor with ]the church, en tered and began uee violent langua ge, denouncing the pantor, the Rev Mr. Arthur, as a drunken scoundrel. Pastor Arthur came down from the pulpit and seized Keen, and after a sharp struggle threw bins bodily from the church. The worshippers were paralyzed for a time by the spectacle, but they soon recovered and arrayed themselves on different sides, and the services came to an end with out the formality of the benedic tion.
