MIE CURRENCY VOLUME- Congressman Maddox, of the j Seventh district, is quoted as hav-1 ing said, that if Congress had re- ■ moved the State bank tax. silver agitation would have cut a very | small figure in Georgia. There is much truth in the state ment. The demand for an increas- i ed per capita circulation is shared by u very large majority of our poo- ' pie. Our people have witnessed the unsuccessful effort to commit the government to a system of unse cured paper circulation. The fail ure to have the government assume that policy has given an impetus to the free coinage clamor. It would be less a species of fiatism, and therefore appeals more generally to the intelligence of the masses Walton Vindicator. EDITORIAL OPINIONS.
