Peery, Oklahoma Territory,
June 8. —It has come to light that
two noted Georgia outlaws, George
and Asbury Gentry, have joined
the Bill Doolan band un ter the
names of “Come Lately Bovs.”
The Gentrys are wanted in Ge. r

the most no ed out aws that have

Deputy marshals here give furt e
details of the terrible fight between
8.1 l Doolan, Zib Wyatt and one'
other outlaw and some marshals
in the Glass mountains. The ou
laws’ horses were badly wounded.
Two women, Jennie Black and
Zip Wyatt’s wife, were with the
outlaws when the tigkt took place,
and they were capt ur e d
and jailed at Guthrie last night.
Marshals still have the eave ,sur

took refuge, and ther" is but li tie
doubt of their capture,

Soda-Slinger Foote, the head

Co’s big soda fount was on the hus

what a days work was on Foote.
Tne ladies did well too—and they
made many a thirsty mortal
“smile” as he surrendered his
“kale.’’ If Crouch s fount can
run that well with one foot, how
much well-er could it run with
another—F oote.

While the ladies are running re
ceptions, stores, theaters,job offi
ces, soda founts, electric car lines
and base ba'l matches, I want to
suggest that they charter the police
and run the “Fall of Ninevah” for
one day. I know dudes and dudes

I believed that Fo lie’s fair daughter

That was an exciting scene yes

on Broad street. No one knows

the street together. The horse was
badly sker’d as he passed under
the Hustler ot Rome windows at
a 2:10 gait on the brick pavement.
I never saw a sidewalk cleared of a

my observation.

Light Guards leave for the encamp
ment at Grsffin, the first of the
week. Captain Stewart and his
gallant boys leave tomorrow night
Captain Patton and his soldierly
command will leave on Monday
morning. Rome may well feel
prond of her military. No other
city in Georgia can send to camp
two such commands of young sol
diers. Here’s to you boys, and
may you have a time as supremely
supreme as is my intense longing
ta be with you.
Col. Usher Thomason, of Madi
son, the handsome, popular and
most thoroughly capable young
commander of the Third Regiment
was in the city yesterday afternoon
and last night. Col. Thomason is
the idol of his regiment, firm,
dashing, loyal and consecrative—
and all the other qualities that are
embodied in a man to make him
a successful organizer and winning
leader. Why if Usher Thomason
led, the Third Regiment would
charge Gibralta and if they didn t
capture it I will bet the Hill City
Cadets would steal some of its
hidden thunder
That was a dastard who poi
soned three of the finest'horses on
the Exposition track last week.
The horses were “Ripple," a SI,OOO
mare belonging to J. G . Hunt, of
Chattanooga; “Pansy, the SSOO
mare belonging to Whitehead, of
Rome and “Pick Up ths SSOO
horse, belonging to Dr. Corput,
of Rome. Dr. Corput did some fine
work in bringing the horses
around. He says that from 8 to
10 grains of morphine was ad
ministered each of the lu rses by
the villain who did the poisoning.
