byterian church this morning, at
10:30, and was very largely at
tended.
In the death <of this noble heart
ed "ife and Christian mother the
community suffers, while the loss
to her devoted husband and loving
children is irreparable.
After a lingering illness death
came to her yesterday and tie
weary body was at rest, while the
sweet spirit was wafted into the
great beyond. She leaves besides 1
many relatives and a wide circle
of friends, a devoted husband and .
four eliildren to mourn her loss.
The interment occurred in Myrtle ‘I
Hill, the following named gentle
men acting as pall bearers :

—While standing on Luna Island j
at the brink of the Cave of the
Winds, an unknown man last night
was eitbtr murdered by being'
pushed over the bank, or fell into
the ei'e’thing waters and washed
away to death in a vain endeavor
to get his hat, which had liven
blown from his head.
At the time of the crime—ortve
cidesiir —another man, also un
kmj’vci to the local authorities,
was standing near the victim of

the torrent’s relentless rage, who
is supposed to know a great deal
about the affair. He however, is
iiot to be found, soon after the oc
ciurranoe of the sad and mysteri*
-one -affair, which transpired before
the gaze of thousands, he immedi
ately disappeared. The detectives
-are looking everywhere for the in
dividual, but as yet have failed to
fi®d any further traces of him.
