Dahlonega, Ga , October 14.—\ The reports indicating the ol Hun. W. A. Charters for the house are entirely incorrect. There was never at any lime any doubt of his election. He received aclear ; majority over all his opponents combined, as will be seen from the following - W. A. Charters received 580 votes, W. J. • Burt 310, J. T. Grindle 191, W. H. Postell 28 and J. N. Austin’ 11. And in face of the fact that a heavy flight was m ide on him solely on the Hue that he is a law ver «nd a town man, he received a majority ot the country vote and a practically unanimous town vote, out of the 868 votes cast at the tiwn| precinct he having re-’ ceived 297.
