A UNIQUE BOOK
A remarkable book of 50,000
words, which has never been on a
printing press, has just been bound
by D. Appleton A Company. Each
letter and word has been made by
the author’s pen so delicately and
skillfully that the pages look like
the best copperplate engraving.
Lieutenant-Colonel Noble D. Pres
ton is the author and maker of this
nteresting volume, the title of
which is “Preston’s Pen Pictures.
Medals, Songs and Sketches, Medal
of Honor, Loyal Legion, Biogrn
phi j s, Bugle Blasts, Famiy Geneal
ogies, etc.” Eight years was con
sumed in compiling it, the letter
at the beginning of each chapter
being handsomely illustrated.
