To fully appreciate the beauties of Oothcaloga Valley ona ought to see it i ow. Many binders are now running in the numerous fields of wheat and the shocks are begin ning to stud the view, and thickly, too. All say that the yield will be very fine, indeed, this year. But for beauty, this season with us cannot be excelled. By the end of this week a great deal will be cut down. The street com mi tee of the council has had some pretty work done on the upper end of Main street recently. It has now been straightened out, making it broad er than it was, and addirg to the beauty of that street for a drive. Mr. Willis Boyd has returned from the military school at. Pall Bearer at The Funeral and Said the Merchant Owed Him SI,OOO Tables Turned Mac-in, Ga,, June 10.—The body of Joe Sprinz, the merchant mur dered at Midville, Ga ~ a menth ago, was exhumed in the presence of a detective, the Chief of Police and the Sexton. The theory of the detective is that the man was kill ed by a blow belivered from the front and not from behind, as has been the theory up to the present. The arrest of Dr. Kilpatrick, who was always thought to be the murdered man’s friend, is the sen sation of the hour. The detective, in making the arrest, claims to have full circumstantial evidence against Kilpatrick, and he gives as a motive that the doctor was in love w : th Sprinz’s wite. Kilpatrick was one of the pallbearers at the funeral here. He it was who dim ed to have had. $1,0(0 in the pos session of SprifiZ. It is said now, however, that the evidence will show that Sprinz returned the mon ey to Kilpatrick. Adairsville, June 10.-During an electrical storm here yesterday af ternoon the steeple of the Baptist church was struck by a bolt of lightning that ran down into the vestibule where it tore a hole in the wall. The damage will amount to only about S2O. A cow belonging to Mr. Joe Povaloski, was killed by another stroke and a tree on the lawn o Dr. Joe Bowdoin was splintered.
