If dyspepsia and biliousness or constipa

got to overcome just those troubles before

The majority of diseases begin with some
trouble of the digestive organs or of the
liver, which prevents the supply of proper
nourishment to the system. ' The best
remedy for these troubles is Dr. Pierce’s
Golden Medical I)‘.c<»verv, because it gives
the digestive and blood - making organs
power to assimilate food and transform it
into pure, nourishing blood, vitalised with
an abundance of red corpuscles.
It acts directly upon the liver and gives
it capacity to filter all bilious impurities
out of the circulation. It build:. up solid,

In obstinate constipation the “Discov

A medical authority claims
that bad spelling is caused by a
disease. In certain conditions of
the brain and nerves the patient
frequently writes “of” instead ol
“to ” In another slightly varying
form, instead of “the,” the first
letters is omitted and so in many
other short words. The malady
unusally affects the brain only in
connection with words of one eyl

where longer words h ve been so
distorted that it was difficult to
get their Jsense. It is a question
whether one would be comforted
by being told that the caused by
mental disease or whether one
would prefer to have this lack of
accuracy set down to ignorance

A Tumor Formed

Trouble Began With Dyspepsia

Thorough Course of Mood's Sarsa

There is danger in impure blood.
Disease and suffering are surely com-I

“C. I. Hood & Co., Lowell, Mass.:
“Gentlemen:—My troubles began with
nervous headaches, which would last
me for two or three days. The doctors
pronounced my trouble dyspepsia, but
they could not do anything for me, and
advised a change of location. At the age
of 55 a tumor formed on my spine, which
Was Very Painful
but did not rise or discharge. The doctor
thought best to cut it out, but I objected.
It finally broke and discharged a great
deal. The doctors said they could do
nothing for it. Then the tumor began to
rise inwardly and discharge. I read much
about cures by Hood’s Sarsaparilla and
thought I would try it. Before I had
finished taking one bottle I was much
relieved. I continued the use of Hood’s
Sarsaparilla, and after taking 12 bottles I
was entirely cured. lam now well, have

The purile efforts of the watch
dogs of Georgia's honor should be
abated, now that thi legislature
has acted on the report of the Spe
cial Commissioner of misdemeanor
convict camps and has passed the
law recommended by the Special
Commissioner asking that these
“misdemeanor convicts” be placed
under the supervision of the S’ates
penitentiary department. Georgia
has very promptlv and very prop
erly made impossible the brutal
practices that existed in some of
these camps and having done so,
again has the right to carry her
head as proudly as any of her sis
ter States, and all true Georgians
are satisfied But, heaven pity the
smallness of the very small pota
toes, who would have Georgia
smother over and conceal such
rank crime and foul corruption as
existed when the special commis
sioner made his tour of inspection.
Honesty is the best policy. The
disease was located, diagnosed and
treated and the cure will be per -
manent, and “Georgia’s honor” is
in a far healthier condition than
the alleged honor of the kronic
kickers,

WILLIAM’S LARGE ORDER.
An energetic Washington cor
respondent has unearthed a schene
of territorial conquest being ma
tured by Emperor Wilhelm which
if true is fraught with unlcoked
for difficulties for the United
States. It involves no less an un
dertaking than the destruction
of the Monroe Doctrine and the .
conquest of Argentina.
A German diplomat, who is
described as an intimate friend of '
the Kaiser, is quoted as saying n
effect that none but an over-coi -
fldent nation would put forth such
a foolish international proposition
as the “accused Monroe Doctrine,”
which it is alleged, is the German
despot’s favorite characterization 1
of that bulwark of the New World
against European greed.

Then the Kaiser’s friend pro
ceeds to ui.fold the scheme. The
Germans have been quietly makii g
preparations for the conquest of .
Argentina for years, be says. With
the object in view more thana

they are sti’l going there;

are to be asked, “What are you
going to do about it?”
The scheme sounds foolish, but
there is no tePing what wild

it as a precautionary measure. It
