HOLINESS FOLK
THEY MET YESTERDAY AT
MISSLER, GA.
ENJOY SECOND BLESSING
And Believe That They Are Re
ally Sa notified
Misler, Ga , Dec 19.—This is a
big day with the holiness people,
and they are mrking the most of
it. The tent is estimated to seat
500 people and every seat is occu
pied. Large delegations are here
from Eastman, Mcßae and all
surrounding towns. The weather
is balmy. The tent is pitched on
a beautiful elevation, with a lux
urious carpet of wire grass.
The rostrum is filled with train
ed singers, accompanied bv the
sweet notes of the cornet in the
hands of Mr. Lou Burton, of the
Eastman Times-Journal. Horses
are picketed to every sapling
Wagons, buggies, phaetons, carts
and eveiy conceivable vehicle
scattered around promiscously.
The stentorian voice of the preach
er as he shouts the doctrines es
holiness, the frequent responses of
the brethren, the shouts of
“Amenl Hallelujah,” etc., take
one back to the days when “camp
meeting” was an institution in
(Georgia.
A great many visit the place out
of mere curiosity, but quite a large
percentage are really sincere and
thoroughly believe they are sencti
fied —have received the second
blesHug. ‘‘As thou belieyost, so it
will be An'o you,” is good scrip,
ture, and if a man believes in a
system of religion and is sincere,
hs is alright.
