Resolved that the motion
adopted bythe city council of the
city of Hazlehurst on the 4th day
of August 1908, relative to the
sale of near beer in said city be
amended oy striking out the
word “‘one” in the firstline of said
motion and ‘insert in lieu of the
same, the word Ten, so that when
amended itshallread: A motion
carried to make near beer tax
Ten Hundred Dollars ($1000.00)
per year. A motion carried to
authorize the committee to close
the trade with Mr. E.P.Miller for
the land for eemetary. A motion

{onowing Laws, Rules and Regu
ations; .
First. We recommend that
the Constitution and By Laws
for County Societies, approved
by the American Medical Associ
ation of Georgia, be adoped.
Second. In regard to sched
ule of fees we recomend the fol
lowing:
(a) That the minimum fee for
all companies except fraternal
orders for Life Insurance exam
inations shall be $5.00;
(b) That the minimum charge
for a simple case of Ohstetrics
shall be SIO.OO, not including mil
ege.
(¢c) Delivery of Placenta, as:
ter confinement shall be $5.00.
CO(d) Instrumental cases $25.
(e) Allcases of Version $25.00
(f) Anesthetic fee $5.00.
[g] All abortion and perma
ture labors in‘like proportion,-
(h) Prescription charge not
less than SI.OO.
(i) Consultation fees in the
d.iscretion of attending Physi
cians.
- Third. The Secratary shall
keep a book in his office, subject
to the inspection of the publie,
‘which shall be known as the de
linquent Registation Boolk, upon
‘which shall be recoraued the
‘name of all members of this As
‘sociation submitting tneir delin
‘quent. list shall pay to the Secre
tary a registration fee of Ten
Cent for each name. The Secre
tary shall also be allowed a fee
of Fifteen Cents for Canceling
the name of any delinquent from
the Register.
Fourth. A delinquent shall
be known as any one who isin
debtet to a member of this azsoci
ation and who has made no sutis
factory arrangements for the
payment of sume, also any per
son who shall aid or ussist any
other person or persons in der
frauding any member of this
society out of his fees or Dbills
due on account, by shamning
property or any other method
ot herein mentioned, shail be
considered equally as delinquent
as the party whom he has ussis
ted or aided in such defrauding.
Fifth. Itis hereby forbidden
for any member of this associ
ation, to prescribe, give medical
aid or medical advice toany party
or parties which come tnder the
head of delinquents, except that
a member may give medical aid
to a deliquent when so disposed,
providing said delinquent pays
cash or furnishes satisfactory
security for same to the attend
ing’ Physician, and Physician
shall not continue such services
for a period longér than thirty
[3o] days unless said delinquent
‘makes satisfactory arrangements
for the payment of all passed due
accounts, and has his name eras
ed from the Delinquent Register.
Sixth. Alldelinquentaczounts
not settled within ninety [9o]
days from date of entry on thv
delinquent book, may be placed
in the hands of an Attorney by
the Physician to whom the ac
count is due. : ‘
Seventh. The Secretary shall
have printed in circular form, as
many copies of these amendments
of the constitution and By Laws
as the society deems proper. A

~ Eight. A copy of theseamend
ments accompanying a bill
for settlement to a_debtor shall
be sufficient notice that unless
his account is paid within thirty

the provisions of these rules
shall be publicly expelled for a
period of twelve months, will
not be continuanced by the
members of this association
either in consultation or recom
mended for medical examiner
or Life Insurance Companies, or
shown any professional ethics
whatsoever, and also subject to a
fine of Fifty Dollars, by a two
thirds vote of the members pres
ent at any regular meeting, pro
vided a majority of the associa
tion is presant at said meeting.-

tion will be held in the city of
Hazlehurst, at which will be sub
mitted to the qualified voters of
said city for determination the
question whether bonds shall be
issued by said city in the sum of
Kighteen Thousand Dollars
($18000.00) Principal. for the pur
pose of providing funds for the
erection, installing and equipping
of a system of water works for
said city; and also the question
whether bonds shall bo issued in
the sum of Twelve Thousand
Dollars ($12,000.00) Principay for
the purpose of providing of funds
for the erection and furnishing of
a public £chool building for said
city, to bear interest at the rate
of five (.03) per cent, per annum,
