HAZLEHURST NEWS.
Hazlzhurst, Jeff Davis fCount;;'r.: Georgia, Thilrsday, April 15,1909,
They are the Hapfiicat
Boys in the State:
We honestly believe, that we
are the daddy of twoof the hap
piest little boys in the state of
Georgia, just npow. We have
been: promising: them for lo
these many days past, that some
time we would buy them a goat
apiece. ~ That long-looked-for
happy moment acrived last Sat
urday.; So now they have a goat
apiece. Bob has named his goat
Rex, and Willie:says shat Jake is ‘
good enough name for his goat.
But, the goats had never been}
broke, and they are.as wild as
deers, and the only “dread we
have, is, the goats may break
their legs, arms, or necks before
they ever getthem gentle enough
to work. Yet, we hope not.
Bob says that he wouldn’t trade
‘his goat for the best automobile
‘made, and Willie. says that it
!would take even $775. to touch
his. And thusitis. They talk
nothing but goat, morning, noon
and night, and, we dare say,
dream’ of goats. Well, it makes
us happy to see thelittle fellows
so extremely happy. And, it
didn’t cost much to bring about
this happiness, either,
f On last Saturday: afternoon
'Miss Louise Connelly, who has
charge of the fifth grade in our
schooel, took her class out for an
Easter egg hunt. Several other‘
young peeple, besides her schol
arg, Were in the crowd, and a
very pleasant fime they all had,
30 we have been informed. Miss
May Belle Stansell was the
champion egg finder, while s gmi
‘of the boys found and devoured
many. All in all;it wasa very
‘enjoyable affair.
t Dr. Austin, the e ye; ear,'nos€
and throat speciaiist, comes
highly recommended. He will be
at Dr. Whelchel’s office for three
weeks. See him at once.—Doug
