cuted by Tempie Ryals to the Citi
zens Bank of Hazlehurst, dated the
10th day of November, 1908, and
recorded in the office of the Clerk
of the Superior court of Jeff Davis
county, in book 2, folio 252, the
undersigned will sell at public out
ery, at the court house door in said
county, during the legal hours of
sale, to the highest bidder for cash,
on the first Tuesday in December,
1909 the following property, to-wit.
Forty eight (48) acres more or
less, of lot of land No Six hundred
and four (604) in the 2nd land Dis
triet of original Appling County,
now Jeff Davis county, Georgia,
said tract or parcel of land being
located in the south-east corner of
said lot and bounded as foliows:
North by lands of J H Powell, east
by original land-line, south by
original land line and west by
lands of the estate of Daniel Lynn,
same being the home place of Tem
ple Ryals and Henry Ryals, for
the purpose of paying a certain
promissory note for the sum of One
hundred and seventy-five dollars
($175) executed and delivered by
Temple Ryals to the Citizens Bank
of Hazlehurst, on the 10th day of
November, 1908, and due on the
15th day of October, 1909, stipu
lating for interest from maturity at
the rate of eight per cent (89;) per
annum, and ten percent (10%) at
torneys fees. the total amount due
on said note being One hundred and
seventy-five dollars ($1755,) prin
cipal, 58¢c interest, $17,55 attorneys
fees, together with the cost of this
proceeding, as provided in said

. The News-Banner force was a
little late last week, on account of
their engine being out of order.
They got a man from Atlanta to
fix it and went to press Saturday.
On last Thursday evening, about
6 o’clock, at the convict camps, one
half mile from Baxley, the warden
and guard had a little shooting
scrape. Each shot 5 times at each
but neither one got hit. Can’t learn
details. :
. The Phillips Cow Boy Show was
here Saturday, and it was a good,
nice clean, up-to-date show, in ev
ery respect and was enjoyed by a
large attendancz, The name of the
play was, In Arizona,
