First it’s Spring, and next it’s
’ Fall . :
God bless,the Candides, for we
love them all
We call the attention of our
many readers to read, and study
the article which appears on the
front page, headed, ‘To the Farm
ets of Georgia,” This article was
publis’ ed in every leading paper
in Georgia, and came from the level
mind of our congenial Dr. S, W.
Johnson, Presidant of the Farmers
State Union for Jeff Davis County,
The farmers should feel proud to
have a gentleman like Dr. Johnson
st the head of their Union and
should take his advise which he is
giving you each week thru the pa
pers, . : |
In all probability the announce
ment of Mr, H- G. Moore, as candi
date for representative from -Jeff
Davis county. will appear in the
News next week. Mr. Moore has
had the matter of running for the
lcgislature under ccnsideration for
several days now and Mr. Moore’s
friends will await with interest his
announcement should he decide to
run. Mr. Moore is one of .the most
public spirited men in the county
and it goes without saying that
should he run and beccme elected
he will work with might and main
for the the very best interest of the
county. e
In next weeks issue will likely ap
;-ear the announcement of Mr. A,
J. Herrington, who will announce
fir representive, If this be true
ihe political pot of Jeff Davis coun
iy will be boiling. There is not a
gentleman in Wire Grass Ga. that
would make ue a better represena
tive than Arther J. Herrington, and
with such men a Mr, Hatton and
Mr. H. G. Moore, also Mr. Herring
ton asking for one office, you will
~¢e the winning man with only a
small majority, in our opipion.
In this issue appears the announ
cement of our jolly, genial Mr.
Nathan L. Hatton, Sr. candidate
ior Representative. He is not only
known ail over our county but all
uver the entire state. No doubt
e, Hatton is the man for the job,
sud his many friends throughout
ihe county are aware of the fact
that he is well qualified for this im
ortant office,
These infernal loafers have caused
us to loose our reiigion again. We
dont know whether we are setting
type playing ball, or sitting around
tae fice at the Knight Drug Co.
