county, was severely hurt a few days

—Burglars entered the post office,
i.t Valdimta. on the night of the 19th
instant. The safe was drilled and
blown open and $165. and some
registered letters was secured, ft is
thought the Work was done by tbe
same parties who perpetrated a
similar robbery here some days ago.
—The meeting of The Bible Teach
ers’ Society, on Thursday evening,
will be an unusually important one.
Officers ibr the next six months are
to be elected. Tbe society’s mem
bership, now, numbers more than 4U,
and is constantly increasing Every
member should attend the next meet
ing.

years old, and weigh from 70() to 900
pounds each, and are bred from Ken
tucky stallions and Texas mares,
comprising saddle horses, work hor
ses, choice mares, matched pairs ami
good business horses, suitable for all
kinds of work. The terms ol sale
will be cash and every horse sold un
der o guarantee. This will be a good
chance to buy a horse at your own
price, as the horses will be sold with
out reserve. There will be no post

received notice Friday morning that
Frank Phillips, colored, was wanted
for larceny in Waycross. received In live
minutes after the notice was
Phillips was behi'Ml the liars. A
line gold watch and chain and a pan
ol patent leather pumps, the proper
ty of engineer Du Bose, ol Waycross,
were found in his posession. Phillips
says he could have stolen also a
lady’s gold watch, but lie thought
one watch was all he wanted.
The marshal ol Waycross was
notified of the arrest. Phillips was
carried to Wavcioss, where he will
be accorded a hearing so that justice
may be meted out to him. lie will
probably find work, in tbe chain
gang of that progressive little city,
