There was a Urge concourse of people in
attendance, perl* o’* 300 or more. At 11:30
Mr. J. K. Walker, one of Fierce county'*
teacher*, delivered a very appropriate, ef.

there was such a large aaenmblage of peo

to spare. Tiie ladies are very much in
earnest in the cause of education in the
Moody district. I judge from the ipiantitr
of chicken. You know that they must Ire
very much int. rested when they kill more
than one or two chickens at a time. I saw
on« Isdy keep taking out chicken after
chicken, am) I finally asked her if she had
killed the whole hunch.
At the close of the exercises of the school
Rev. Mr. Black,of Jeaup, delivered a very
forcible, convincing and logical apeech in
favor of schools and education. lie spoke
in very complimentary terms of the teach

county wss the “banner county" in South

well received. Then your cot respondent
gave a short talk. Mr. Joel Walker was
called and responded in a very appropriate
