Clerk J. C. Geiger recently re
corded a deed from the Southern

A new postoffice ruling has just
gone into effect, imposing a fine
of $500 or one year’s imprison
ment on anyone who, through
carelessness or otherwise takes
mail not belonging to them from
the office and fails to return it im
mediately. This applies to news
papers as well as -to letters and
other valuable mail. People when
taking their mail from the office
should examine it before going out
