instant, of the Board of Educa
tion the following resolutions were
adopted:
“Whereas, there is much dissat
isfaction with the text books now
used in the public schools of
Pierce county, and wishing to
place in the schools the best books
therefore be it
Resolved, That the Board of Ed
ucation of Pierce county will, at
its regular meeting on the first
Tuesday in June, 1901, make such
change in the text books now used
