A correspondent from Dublin
to tbe Mornitl g Xews, Nov. 15th,
says:
“Congressman \V. G. Brantley
of the Eleventh district will sup
port Col. J. H. Estill for Govern
or. He spent a portion of Wed
nesday and yesterday in the eitv,
and while here made the state
ment. Mr. Brantley thinks that
the Savannah candidate will make

serves to sueceed.
Congressman Brantley while
here discussed with his friends the
probability of the congressional
districts being changed. He has
been requested by the grand jury,
City Council and the Board of
County Commissioners to use his
influence with the members of the
General Assembly to prevent Lau
rens from being taken from the
Eleventh district, and will work
to that end.
Although while here he did not
consult any of the real estate a
gents as to the desirable residence
they had on hand for sale, Mr.
Brantley informed his friends that
if Glynn county was taken from
the Eleventh district and placed
in the First, as a rumor states
will be attempted, he expected to
take up his official residence in
Dublin. Mr. Brantley is very
strong in this county, where his
father and mother were born and
