IS a regular graduate of Nature's wide Botanic Garden and Common Sense Medical College, and has made the study of Herbs his profession for thirty years : and daily cures more patients than any other physician in N. Orleans. To the Public.— Dr. Fryer’s Core of a Cancor. Having just been effectually cured of an inveterate Cancer by Dr. Fryer, Indian Doctor, 33 Frenchmen street, Third Municipality, I deem it an act of duty to the public —more particularly that portion of them who may have been afflicted as I have been—of justice to Dr. Fryer, and of gratitude on my own part—to statu briefly the facts of iny case, and iny full and effectual cure by the Doctor. lam now some fifty-three years old. Soino sixteen years since, a cancer commenced to grow on my right hand, near the joint of ray wrist. Day by day. month by month, year by ear, it continued to grow, undermining my health, till it well nigh made my life a burden to me. At different times, it was operated on by physicians of distinguished professional repute, and although they caused me to undergo the most ex cruciating pain, I derived no benefit from their labors — indeed, they seemed but to increase the virulence of my cancer. At length, brought by pain and consequent de bility to the verge of the grave, 1 put myself under the advice and treatment of Dr. Fryer. From the first day 1 did so, my health began to revive, and now, having suffered, while his patient, comparatively but little pain, without a knife having been once applied to the cancer, it is, 1 thank God. entirely removed, the wound is heal ed up. and my health is restored. If any body doubts the correctness of the above statement, let them call at my residence one mile east of New Richmond Montgomery county, la., where it can be proven by many respectable persons. Cancer Cured. —We were called in, a day or two since, while passing in Frenchmen street, to see a euro of cancer performed by Dr. W. Iv. F. Fryer, the Indian Doctor. The patient was a stout, athletic negro man, j formerly a slave of Mr. J. lloey, the enterprising pioneer of Hoey ville, but is now the property of Dr. Fryer, who j purchased him from his late owner, after he had been j pronounced incurable by the heads of the medical facul ty in the city. The cancer was located on the uppe: i part of the breast bone, and the tumor covered both m ixilliary glands, and extended more than half, way down the breast. When wo saw it, the tumor was en tirely gone, and nothing but the scar remained, not yet quite healed up, to show that there had been auy tiling the matter with the boy. Until recently.it has been believed that a cancer was entirely incurable, aud that the grave was the only relief for a disease, terrible not only on account of being considered incurable, but from its loathsome nature, and we were among those who could have been convinced by nothing less than occular demonstration, that there was any cure for it. We can not. however, discredit our own senses. We have had the most convincing proof that the disease oau be cured, which it is possible to have. The Doctor proposed to Mr. Hoey to cure his slave for one hundred dollars, but so sceptical was that gentleman as to the Doctor's ability to effect a cure, that after consulting able physicians, he concluded to sell the boy to him for the amount of the fee demanded for his cure. The boy is now well, and is a most valuable servant, pronounced in our presence, by i gentleman acquainted with the value of such property, to be worth SBOO. We can have no hesitation in recom mending l)r. Fryer to all persons afflicted with such diseases. Mayor of the city, and the citizens generally, are most respectfully invited to visit my consulting room, (though humble.) and examine for themselves. Remarkable Curb. —Dr. Fryer, the celebrated Indian • Dr., has the credit of achieving some remarkable cures. We were shown the other day a slave belonging to the Old Levee Steam Cotton Press. Third Municipality, who, we were informed, had been cured of consumption, or •ather the liver and lungs, with fever of the jowels. He was discharged on the 22d March, after bo ng confined to his bed many months. The negro ap peared perfectly restored. We also saw, at the same time, a negro who had been cured of a severe cancer by Dr. Fryer. [Editors Louisiana State Republican, La fayette, May 28. 1851. Gretna, near New Orleans. Jan. 17, 1851. For a length of time I suffered from Dropsy. Every remedy which 1 tried, aud every pliysiciau l employed or consulted for a cure, proved of no avail, and with dis nair I contemplated the future. Then I read in the Louisiana State Gazette, a card from Dr. Fryer. No. 33 Frenchmen street, stating that he cured every species >f Dropsy, aud this iu a v cry short time. As I was -ituated then, a man would grasp at any and every means of cure, and so 1 turned to Dr. Fryer. Whatever is ‘•aid in his preceding card, he has truly performed. Iu i short space of time I was cured, so that now I am well ind in perfectly good health, and therefore, earnestly •vould recommend Dr. Fryer to all my former fellow sufferers. It is a tonic, aperient and disinfectant. It act* simulta neously upon the stomach , the circulation, and the bowels, and thus three processes, which are ordinarily the result of three different kinds of medicine, are car ried on at the same time through the instrumentality of Mm one remedial agent. There are many ways of re lieving pain for the time being, but there i* only one way of removing disease. No palliative, no anodyne, no tropical application will remove it. It must be at tacked at its source, in the fluid* of the body, which convey the poison to the localities where it is develop ed in inflammation, sore*, ulcers, tumors, abscesses, glandular swellings. Ac., as the case may bo. These fluids must bo reached, acted upon, purified by some powerful agent. Such an agent is Sand s Sarsa parilla. which gently stimulates while it disinfect* and expels from tho stouiach and bowels all that is irritating, and at the same time restores their vigor and tone. It* great merit in that it meets and neutralize* tho active principle of disease itself, and when that i* gone, the symptom* necessarily disappear. The rapidity with which the patient recovers health and strength under this triple influence is surprising. Each new case iu which it is applied furnishes iu the result a now certifi cate of its excellence ; and we have ouly to point to the accumulated testimony of multitudes who have expe rienced its effects, to convince incredulity itself of its real value.
