OFFICE BOARD OFTRADE, )'
UACQUBTA, Ga., Dec. 4,1868—P. M. S
COTTON.—This market has continued to evince a
declining teiMency, and to-day rules (X) three-quarter*
to (1) one cent lower than at the date of our last re
port,
Its almost daily declines have induced buyers to op
erate freely, and sales have been large; thus reducing
the offering stock to a moderate and not very desirable
o»e.
During the week the demand for the better grades
fuu been constant, and sales hare been effected at foil
®ri-tUcclUn Constitutionalist.
value; but the lower grades have been neglected, except
at relatively much lower prices than they brought last
week.
To-day there baa been a quiet hut fair enquiry with
sales on the basis of 22 If @ 22X for middlings.
Sales of the week amount to 3,701 bales, and re
ceipts, 3,051.
